Violet (after Dorothy) - from Two Ladies

I am pleased to say that final proofs have been read and the ink is starting to dry - my commission for the London Symphony Orchestra is officially handed in to their lovely Music Library.

It’s thrilling to think that in just over a month’s time, the premiere will be taking place at the Barbican Centre, London under the baton of Elim Chan.

Do come along to the concert if you can. I’ll be doing a longer post about the piece before the concert, and Jo Buckley will be writing my programme note again - her wonderful words have illuminated all the music I have written for the LSO over the course of the Panufnik Scheme and it is the oddest, yet lovely, feeling that someone else can truly see into the music you have written.

It has been a true honour to work with the LSO over the past three years and I hope I get the chance to again.
